This is one of a series of paintings of my deceased fathers workshop. For the last 15 years of his life bemused and befuddled by dementia, his workshop was abandoned Each tool meticulously placed and ordered remained until the house was sold. This is a painting of a memory and loss in honour of my craftsman father

A set of Allen Keys emerge from a shadow and occupy the left of the canvas whilst the right-hand side of the painting is largely an empty rough textured surface with hints of shadows in light creamy grays.
