Swell Off Shore

In jutaposition to the calmer waters depicted in 'Moments on the Shoreline', this piece portrays the fierce momentum that builds in the waters at Fistral beach.  Huge tidal surges create the most incredible hues of deep blue, sand being churned up from the ocean floor and mixing in through the water.  This piece uses off cuts of fibre glass from surfboard manufacturing to build depth and texture in the white water.  This is not only a link to the iconic ocean based sport, but also allows the surfboard shaper to be one step closer to being zero waste in his process.
