A Set Rolling In

Watergate Bay is famous for its sets, when they roll into the bay it is a sight to behold.  Clean lines steadily flowing towards the shoreline, it is mesmerising to watch.  It is even more exciting for the many surfers that flock here, local and from afar.    I wanted to capture those building, rolling waves in this piece, adding deep texture to the peak of the waves as they break, subtle fine marks to the white water following behind.  This reproduction has been printed onto Slate, a beautiful link to the county of Cornwall and its history with slate, which it has been producing since the 17th Century.
